Textile gallery

A curated collection of textile swatches that were created through weaving, knitting, needle-punching, lace making, and embroidery. The main focus of this collection is concept of Feminist Gothic Literature as well as Scavenger methodology of creation. Most materials that are used are forgotten rare fibers: Jacob Wool, Piña, Abacá, and South African Mohair.

Woven on 8-harness loom, plain weave, hand-tied clove hitch knots with two colors of Abacá thread, two colors of Kid Mohair, two shades of metal chains.

Veinwork

Embroidery on Piña hand dyed with black knight scabiosa and modified with soda ash, hand-spun novelty yarn composed of Kid Mohair and Abacá.
